This recognition confirms that SGS fully meets the requirements for assessing both general medical devices and in vitro diagnostic medical devices - including Quality Management System audits and Type Examination - under the Medical Device Division (MDD) of the Hong Kong SAR Department of Health.
Building on our long‑established CAB status (certificate no. CAB07002), SGS Hong Kong is now the only testing organization in the market with dual CAB qualifications. This unique position allows us to deliver faster, more comprehensive medical device conformity assessment services, supporting manufacturers in listing their products under the Medical Device Administrative Control System (MDACS) with confidence and efficiency.
