Following the publication of GB 26572-2025, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has proposed a 2025 catalogue and began a public consultation within the industry. As was the case with the first batch, the revised catalogue lists the products that must restrict hazardous substances under China RoHS.
The proposed 2025 catalogue would dramatically expand the scope by adding a wide range of new products, such as:

| Vacuum cleaner | This is a household appliance that uses an electric motor to drive blades to rotate at high speed, creating negative air pressure inside a sealed casing. This pressure draws dust, lint, and fibers from surfaces such as floors, carpets, and furniture into the machine, thus achieving a cleaning purpose | August 1, 2027 |
| Robot vacuum | An automated floor cleaner that can operate autonomously within a defined area without human intervention. A robotic vacuum cleaner consists of moving parts and may include a charging dock and/or accessories to assist in its operation | August 1, 2027 |
