Following the publication of GB 26572-2025, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has proposed a 2025 catalogue and began a public consultation within the industry. As was the case with the first batch, the revised catalogue lists the products that must restrict hazardous substances under China RoHS.
The proposed 2025 catalogue would dramatically expand the scope by adding a wide range of new products, such as:

| Rice cooker | This appliance features a removable container (placed inside the appliance during cooking) and can keep food warm, making it suitable for cooking rice and other foods | August 1, 2027 |
| Vacuum cleaner | This is a household appliance that uses an electric motor to drive blades to rotate at high speed, creating negative air pressure inside a sealed casing. This pressure draws dust, lint, and fibers from surfaces such as floors, carpets, and furniture into the machine, thus achieving a cleaning purpose | August 1, 2027 |
| Robot vacuum | An automated floor cleaner that can operate autonomously within a defined area without human intervention. A robotic vacuum cleaner consists of moving parts and may include a charging dock and/or accessories to assist in its operation | August 1, 2027 |
| Electric water heater | Appliances (capacity ≤ 500 liters) that use electric heating elements such as electric heating tubes and electric heating films to convert electrical energy into heat energy and transfer the heat energy to water, thereby heating the water to a temperature below the boiling point | Effective from the date of publication |

| Smartwatches and smart bands | A ring-shaped wearable smart device worn on the wrist can record one or more parameters such as time, steps, heart rate, and location. | Headphones | An electroacoustic transducer that converts electrical signals into sound signals and couples them tightly with the human ear | August 1, 2027 |

| Electronic blood pressure monitor | It typically consists of an occlusion cuff, a sensor, an inflation pump, and a measuring circuit. | Blood glucose meter | Multifunctional analytical instruments that can analyze physiological parameters such as blood glucose typically consist of a main unit module, a power supply module, and a software module.
