We are pleased to announce that ChinaChem Agencies Limited (ChinaChem), a leading real estate and property management company, has successfully attained ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for its Information Security Management System (ISMS). The certification was presented following a comprehensive independent audit conducted by our team.
As digital services and personal data protection become increasingly vital in the real estate sector, Chinachem has built a systematic and continuously improving information security framework based on internationally recognized standards. The certification covers Chinachem’s internal IT services, including infrastructure, helpdesk, security and application support, marking a significant milestone in Chinachem’s information security journey.
Mr. Ben Fung, Senior Associate Director of Chinachem Group’s Information Technology and Solutions, stated: “Achieving ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification is a key step in Chinachem’s digital transformation and information security management. Through cross-departmental collaboration and enhanced team communication, we have built a resilient information security system that ensures the highest level of protection for both customer and corporate data. This certification also reflects Chinachem’s ongoing commitment to corporate governance and sustainable development.”
Ms. Miranda Kwan, Director of Business Assurance at SGS in Hong Kong, commented: “Chinachem’s voluntary pursuit of ISO/IEC 27001 certification reflects a proactive approach to information security and a strong commitment to global standards. This achievement enhances stakeholder trust and supports their broader goals of business growth and operational resilience.”
Strategic implementation of information security
During the audit process, Chinachem conducted a comprehensive review of its information assets and workflows, identifying potential risks and improving related policies and procedures — significantly enhancing overall governance effectiveness. From the scope of certification to the strategic integration of information security elements across departments and systems, Chinachem has demonstrated outstanding capabilities in information security management.
In addition, the audit helped cultivate a stronger information security culture, equipping staff with a deeper understanding of risk identification and response protocols. This cultural shift has reinforced Chinachem’s resilience in meeting compliance requirements and adapting to future challenges.
