The government has launched an action plan for Green Maritime Fuel Bunkering to reduce carbon emissions and incentivize companies in Hong Kong to support the shipping industry's green transformation, in line with the IMO's net-zero emissions goal by 2050.
Starting this year, we are honored to play a pivotal role in supporting decarbonization efforts in Hong Kong. As part of this transformative initiative, SGS is the first to offer specialized Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) bunker survey inspection services that ensure precise measurement and verification of marine fuel quantities during bunkering operations. Our services are essential for maintaining the integrity, transparency, and efficiency of fuel supply chains, which are crucial to the success of the green maritime fuel bunkering center.

We are committed to supporting Hong Kong's development as a green maritime fuel bunkering center, aligned with global efforts to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. By leveraging our expertise, we will continue to provide professional services that facilitate the transition to sustainable maritime fuels, paving the way for a sustainable future.
