General Administration of Customs of People's Republic of China meets with SGS Management Team to Exchange Views

SGS recently welcomed the Vice Minister of General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC) Ms Lv Weihong and her delegation for a successful visit to our Hong Kong technical competency centre. The visit aimed to strengthen collaboration and enhance cooperation between SGS and GACC in ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of imported goods.

Mr. Steven Du, our Chief Operation Officer in North East Asia, expressed his gratitude for the visit, stating, "We are honoured to have hosted the esteemed delegation from the GACC. This visit underscores SGS's dedication to maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. We are committed to working closely with the GACC to ensure the safety of goods entering the market and to facilitate smooth and efficient trade in China."

During the visit, SGS's team of experts engaged in productive discussions with the delegation, exchanging valuable insights on emerging trends, regulations, and challenges in the realm of import/export trade. The GACC officials were given an in-depth tour of SGS's state-of-the-art testing laboratories facilities. They witnessed first-hand SGS's advanced technologies to address the latest market needs, rigorous testing procedures, and comprehensive quality control measures. Ms Lv Weihong, the Vice Minister of GACC, expressed affirmation of these and pointed out that SGS as a third-party of testing, inspection, and certification company, plays a proactive role in facilitating trade convenience, assisting in the high-quality development of the economy and other related fields.
