Beginning 1 January 2026, the EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) enters its definitive regime, marking a major shift from transitional reporting to full operational compliance. Importers of CBAM‑covered goods now face mandatory authorization, verified emissions data requirements, and certificate‑based financial obligations designed to align the carbon cost of imports with the EU Emissions Trading System. As these new rules take effect, organizations must elevate their data management capabilities to ensure accurate emissions reporting, seamless coordination with suppliers, and full readiness for annual certificate surrender obligations beginning with 2026 imports.

This workshop empowers participants to master the data foundations needed for a smooth transition into CBAM’s definitive phase. Through guided exercises and practical frameworks, attendees will learn how to structure, validate, and operationalize emissions data in line with the EU’s updated technical and procedural requirements. Whether you are managing supply chain data, preparing emission calculations, or designing compliance workflows, this session provides the actionable insights needed for your organization to navigate CBAM with confidence.
