Employers have a duty to prevent or adequately control staff exposure to hazardous substances, according to COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations, which fall under the Health and Safety at Work Act. COSHH Regulation 9 states that all control measures used to reduce exposure to hazardous substances must be regularly maintained, examined and tested. This includes LEV systems.
