The European Bioanalysis Forum (EBF) is organizing the 19th edition of its Open Symposium, which will take place November 17–19, 2026, in Barcelona.
Since its founding in 2006, the EBF has brought together stakeholders in bioanalysis to promote knowledge sharing and discussion on the scientific, technological, and regulatory issues shaping the pharmaceutical industry.
This year, the symposium highlights the theme “Fearless Science – Driven by Curiosity: Guided by Data.” Inspired by the ideas of Paracelsus, an iconic figure who challenged the medical dogmas of his time, this edition invites participants to reflect on the evolution of bioanalytical practices in the face of new technologies, the growing complexity of data, and constantly evolving regulatory expectations.
A true must-attend event for the European bioanalytical community, the Open Symposium fosters discussion through an interactive format combining presentations, panel discussions, and case studies.
Meet our experts at the SGS booth
Our specialists will be on hand throughout the event to discuss your projects and answer your questions regarding bioanalysis: pharmacokinetics, immunogenicity, soluble and cellular biomarkers, functional assays, and the development of innovative methods.
Daring to Rethink Bioanalysis
In keeping with this year’s theme, the 2026 Open Symposium encourages the scientific community to explore new approaches while relying on robust data and rigorous interpretation. This balance is essential for fostering innovation and meeting the challenges of tomorrow’s pharmaceutical research.
