Electrical Safety of Luminaires: Practical webinar

The regulation and safety requirements for luminaires are evolving rapidly, especially with the rise of LED technology, battery‑powered solutions and new versions of the relevant standards. These changes directly affect the design, marking, testing and conformity assessment of luminaires – and therefore up‑to‑date expertise is becoming increasingly important.

In this webinar, we address common errors observed in the testing laboratory as well as the practical implications of the latest 10th edition (2024) of the IEC 60598‑1 standard. The training is based on real issues identified during testing and on the key requirements of IEC 60598‑1 – particularly from the perspective of LED luminaires. It helps participants recognize potential compliance pitfalls and ensure product safety and conformity as effectively as possible. This is the right time to become familiar with the 10th edition and its requirements, likely already during product development.
