The UN ECE Regulation R 10.07 entered into force on June 12, 2025, and will become mandatory for all new type approvals of vehicles and electrical/electronic sub-assemblies (ESA) used in vehicles starting September 1, 2029. The latest amendment series (Series 07) introduces significant updates to EMC requirements:
- The frequency range for immunity testing has been extended up to 6 GHz.
- Test method standards have been updated, particularly for transient immunity testing:
- Pulses 1–3 are tested according to the new ISO 7637-2:2011 standard
- Pulse 4 is tested according to the older ISO 7637-2:2004 standard
- Extensive changes have been made to standard references, especially regarding testing during electric vehicle charging mode
The document containing Amendment Series 07, Revision 6 – Amendment 4, is available, but a consolidated version (Revision 7) that compiles the entire regulation has not yet been published.
SGS Fimko is already equipped to perform testing according to the latest requirements at its EMC laboratories in Finland.
