Customs Union (CU) certification services from SGS ensure toys comply with requirements for sale and distribution in CU member states.
Toy Safety Regulation CU TR 008/2011 came into force on July 1, 2012. Toys destined for sale or distribution in CU member states must comply with this regulation and its safety requirements. Only qualified toys displaying the Eurasian Conformity (EAC) mark can access the CU markets.
Partner with SGS to bring safe and compliant toys to the Customs Union. We have the knowledge and expertise to support domestic manufacturers and importers to carry out the necessary testing and certification efficiently and professionally.
What is the CU certification process?
- The domestic manufacturer or importer applies to a Certification Body
- On successful completion of the toy assessment, the domestic manufacturer or importer will receive a certificate and must place the EAC conformity mark on the toy and/or its packaging
