Regulation of Heating Systems, approved by royal decree 1027/2007, state that building heating systems must undergo inspections as follows:
- Full installations – every 15 years (optional according to Autonomous Community)
- Heating and hot water systems with generators > 20 kW – every 2, 4 or 5 years depending on fuel or Autonomous Community
- Air conditioning systems with a generator > 12 kW – every 5 years according to Autonomous Community
