SGS Strengthens Digital Trust Capabilities Through Acquisition of NetSentries

September 29, 2026

Dubai, UAE [September 29, 2026]: SGS, the world's leading Testing, Inspection and Certification company, today announced the acquisition of a majority stake in NetSentries, a cybersecurity and digital assurance specialist, further strengthening its Digital Trust portfolio and its ability to help organizations address increasingly complex digital risks.

As organizations accelerate digital transformation, they face increasing challenges related to cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, data protection, artificial intelligence governance, post-quantum cryptography readiness and operational resilience. This acquisition reinforces SGS's commitment to helping customers build trust and confidence in their digital operations through independent assurance, verification and specialist expertise.

NetSentries brings deep expertise in offensive security, independent security assurance and validation, AI and emerging-technology security, cyber resilience and future-ready solutions such as post-quantum cryptography readiness assessments, serving banks, financial institutions and regulated enterprises across the Middle East and India.

Its AI-driven NST Assure platform gives organizations a continuous, outside-in view of their exposure, validates it the way an attacker would, and turns the results into evidence-based assurance, enabling customers to move from periodic testing to Continuous Threat Exposure Management. NetSentries will continue to operate under its existing brand, with co-founders Sudheer Elayadath and Arun Thomas continuing to lead the business as part of SGS. Together with SGS's global reach and trusted assurance expertise, these capabilities create a strong foundation for more proactive, continuous and resilient digital trust.

Dmitry Nikitin, Head of Middle East and Managing Director UAE for SGS, said:

"Trust is fundamental to sustainable business success. As digital technologies and AI-enabled systems become increasingly embedded in critical business operations, organizations require greater confidence in the security, integrity, and resilience of their digital environments. The acquisition of NetSentries expands our Digital Trust capabilities and strengthens our ability to support customers in navigating an increasingly complex digital landscape."

The transaction supports SGS's strategy of expanding its portfolio of high-value Digital Trust services and responding to growing demand for independent assurance across both physical and digital operations, including cybersecurity, AI assurance, critical infrastructure resilience and post-quantum readiness.

Anand Nair, Head of C&P EEMEA for SGS, said:

"This acquisition strengthens our ability to deliver future-ready digital assurance services, including support for emerging risks such as AI assurance and post-quantum cryptography readiness. By combining NetSentries' expertise with SGS's global assurance capabilities, we can better support customers in securing complex digital environments and building trust at scale."

Sudheer Elayadath, CEO of NetSentries, said:

“We founded NetSentries to help organizations see their exposure clearly and act on it before attackers do. Joining SGS gives our team the scale, the reach and the credibility of a group that has stood for trust for 145 years, and it gives our customers a partner that can support them across every dimension of assurance, physical and digital. Nothing changes in how we serve our customers; what changes is how much more we can now offer them. We are proud of what our team has built and are excited about what we can build together with SGS."

The acquisition further strengthens SGS's position as a trusted partner for organizations seeking to improve security, resilience and trust across their operations, while addressing evolving challenges in cybersecurity, AI governance, critical infrastructure protection and digital resilience.
