Saint Benoit Laboratory Expansion Enhances Bioanalytical Capacity For Complex Drug Development

Lab Services News for Bio/PharmaceuticalsBioanalytical TestingAugust 12, 2026

We have expanded our Saint-Benoît laboratory near Poitiers, France, a leading bioanalytical facility that has supported clients' preclinical and clinical development programs for more than 35 years. The investment significantly increases our capacity to support increasingly complex drug development programs worldwide.

The investment adds 500 m² to the Saint-Benoît site and, together with the renovation of existing facilities, brings the laboratory's total footprint to nearly 4,500 m² of modernized laboratory space. The expansion strengthens our ability to manage growing sample volumes, support large-scale studies and deliver high-quality data across the drug development lifecycle.

Supporting clients from preclinical research through clinical development, the Saint-Benoît laboratory provides a comprehensive range of bioanalytical services, including:

  • Quantification of small molecules, monoclonal antibodies, biologics, ADCs and RNAs
  • Pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) studies
  • Immunogenicity testing
  • Biomarker assessment
  • Radioimmunoassay

All activities are performed in accordance with international GCP and GLP standards, generating reliable, high-quality data to support development and regulatory requirements.

The expanded facility enhances our analytical capabilities and operational flexibility, enabling us to support increasingly complex programs while maintaining high standards of quality and turnaround times. Increased capacity and flexibility help clients manage project timelines more effectively and accelerate the development of innovative therapies across a range of therapeutic areas, including oncology and infectious diseases.

We continue to invest in innovation through automation, digitalization and collaboration with academic partners, including the University of Poitiers. These initiatives strengthen scientific excellence, support the development of advanced technical capabilities and contribute to training the next generation of life sciences professionals.

Commenting on the expansion, Walid Elbast, Director, Saint-Benoît Laboratory, said:

"This expansion marks an important milestone for the Saint-Benoît laboratory and reinforces our commitment to supporting increasingly complex bioanalytical programs. The investment expands our capacity to manage growing sample volumes, support large-scale studies and deliver the reliable, high-quality data our clients require to advance the development of new therapies.

"Through our strong ties with local academic and institutional partners, we are also helping to create new opportunities for future scientists in an environment focused on innovation and excellence."

This investment reflects our ongoing commitment to expanding our pharmaceutical and bioanalytical capabilities to support the development of innovative therapies. It further strengthens our ability to provide scientific solutions that help clients bring safe and effective medicines to patients faster.
