Starting ISO certification journey with Information Security
Baker Tilly in Kuwait is an international accounting and auditing firm that offers independent professional services in assurance, tax, consulting, and training, serving different business sectors and industries.
Aiming at providing high-quality services compliant with global best practices, Baker Tilly Kuwait opted for ISO management systems standards as a framework to improve their performance.
They started their ISO journey with implementing an information security management system in order to avoid potential security breach, preserve confidentiality, integrity and availability of information. In 2017, they first went through a certification audit by SGS to verify compliance with ISO 27001:2013 and obtained their first ISO certificate of compliance, giving to interested parties that relevant risks are adequately managed.
Implementing ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
Not stopping there, Baker Tilly Kuwait launched implementation of a quality, environment, health & safety management system.
In December 2021, these efforts resulted in certification against ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, further strengthening company’s reputation and credibility.
Opening new horizons for Business Continuity
In 2023, with SGS as their trusted partner, Baker Tilly Kuwait added one more standard to their portfolio – ISO 22301. This standard enables organizations to proactively identify potential threats and ensure the swift recovery of critical functions during disruptive events. By achieving this certification from SGS, Baker Tilly demonstrates its resilience in maintaining uninterrupted business operations even during challenging times.
During the same certification audit by SGS, they transitioned to the new version of Information Security Management standard – to ISO 27001:2022.
