On 5 June 2023, the SGS Industries and Environment team in Lahore celebrated the World Environment Day by actively participating in waste collection and plantation drive at Changa Manga, Pakistan's largest manmade forest located in Lahore.
This initiative aimed to reduce carbon emissions and contribute to the vision of a greener Pakistan.
The team began the event by embarking on a walk at 10:00 am, carrying a banner and displaying play cards to raise awareness among the general public.
They diligently collected waste from the area and also engaged in planting activities, adding about 100 plants to the forest.
Towards the end of the event at 05:00 pm, the team participated in media talks, sharing their perspectives on the importance of taking actions to protect and preserve our natural environment, particularly in combating plastic pollution.
Through their active involvement in the waste collection and plantation drive, our colleagues demonstrated their commitment to making a positive impact on the environment and fostering a greener, sustainable future.
