Navigating the New EU Toy Safety Standards: What You Need to Know

In October 2022, the European Commission issued a Standardization Request mandating the adoption of new and revised toy safety standards by October 25, 2025.

Except for EN 71-12 (Nitrosamines and nitrosatable substances), all EU toy safety standards have either recently been updated or are scheduled for revision. Updates range from minor clarifications to significant new requirements that may impact toys already on the market. As of November 2025, most standards have been published but are still awaiting harmonization.

In this live, expert-led webinar, attendees will gain a clear and practical understanding of the evolving toy standards landscape, including the Standardization Request, anticipated updates to EN 71 and EN 62115 and their implications for toy design, testing and compliance. Presenters will also discuss the current status of regulatory developments and provide actionable guidance on how manufacturers and traders can best prepare.
