Environmental Noise and Vibration Assessments

Ensure regulatory compliance and avoid creating a nuisance in the surrounding environment with environmental noise and vibration assessments from SGS.

Environmental noise and vibrations from industrial or commercial operations are subject to legally defined limits and must be assessed as part of an acoustic feasibility study for a planned project or as a verification study after commissioning.

We provide noise and vibration assessments. Our services include:

  • Acoustic feasibility studies based on noise emission data and propagation calculations (e.g. ISO 9613 in Belgium)
  • Noise mapping for planned and existing installations
  • Identification of the most relevant noise‑contributing installations and development of mitigation or remediation strategies
  • Communication with clients, authorities and agencies to support project approvals and realization
