Expanding Testing Capabilities To Support Vietnam’s Growing Manufacturing Sector

Vietnam has become a major manufacturing hub for textiles, footwear, toys, electrical and electronic products. To support this growth, we are strengthening our state-of-the-art laboratory network across Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong, expanding testing capacity, enhancing technical expertise and bringing a broader range of services closer to manufacturers across Vietnam.

Through ongoing investment in facilities, technology and expertise, we have developed an integrated testing, inspection and certification network supporting multiple industries and product categories. Our capabilities span chemical, physical, safety and EMC testing, alongside technical advisory and compliance support, helping manufacturers meet quality, safety and market-access requirements across domestic and international markets.

Recent expansion has further strengthened this network, including relocating and expanding our Hai Phong Softlines laboratory and introducing new EMC testing services. These additions increase local capacity and provide manufacturers with more efficient access to testing and compliance solutions throughout the product lifecycle.

Strategically located within Vietnam's key manufacturing, export and logistics hubs, our laboratories combine responsive local support with global technical expertise, helping businesses navigate regulatory requirements and bring products to market with confidence.

The SGS Vietnam Laboratory Project in Hai Phong is a key part of this growth strategy, strengthening our presence in Northern Vietnam while expanding access to testing and compliance services. As the first SGS project in Asia-Pacific to achieve EDGE Green Building Certification, it also reflects our commitment to sustainable growth and responsible investment.
