SG 66/24
The United Kingdom (UK) has issued the latest list of standards for presumption of conformity with its general product safety legislation in relation to Great Britain. These became effective on April 18, 2024.
On April 18, 2024, the UK’s Department for Business and Trade (DBT) announced Notice of Publication 0100/24 (the Notice) to revise the list of designated standards for demonstrating compliance with the General Product Safety Regulations 2005 (S.I. 2005/1803).
It adds five new entries and replaces five existing entries. Additionally, Annex I Part 2 of the notice sets out the complete reordered and renumbered list of references for standards demonstrating presumption of conformity with S.I. 2005/1803.
Highlights of the changes in the Notice when compared to the list of standards under Annex I Part 2 to Notice of Publication 0072/22 of October 2022 are summarized in Table 1.
