We are pleased to inform that Oman’s National Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Accounting Platform – Meezan Platform – has been successfully validated by SGS against ISO 14064-3 for greenhouse gas emissions calculation scope.
In December 2025, the ISO 14064-3 validation statement was formally handed over to His Excellency Mohsen bin Hamad Al-Hadhrami, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Minerals (MEM), marking a significant milestone in Oman’s climate governance and emissions transparency journey.

This internationally recognized validation confirms the accuracy, reliability and robustness of the GHG emissions inventory generated through the Meezan Platform. It ensures full methodological alignment with IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) guidelines, reinforcing confidence in Oman’s national emissions footprint calculations.
The validation enhances the credibility of the Meezan Platform and further strengthens the Sultanate of Oman’s standing in international climate reporting and carbon markets. It also reflects the Ministry of Energy and Minerals’ continued commitment to advancing sustainable climate action and supporting national efforts toward Net Zero, in line with Oman Vision 2040 and the Net Zero 2050 Strategy.
Enabling Market Readiness Through a National Digital Platform
Meezan Platform, which has been developed by Inmaa Information Solutions and operated by the Oman Net Zero Center (ONZC), serves as a central digital backbone for emissions accounting, project tracking and market readiness across Oman. Its key features include:
- Interactive dashboard for situational awareness, based on IPCC reporting guidelines
- Forecasting module enabling baseline analysis and “what-if” scenario modeling for future emissions
- Centralized carbon credit registry for all carbon credits issued in Oman
- Project management and monitoring module (PRIME) to track national decarbonization initiatives
By providing a standardized, transparent and internationally aligned framework, the Meezan Platform enables government entities, corporates and project developers to measure, manage and report emissions with confidence, supporting informed decision-making and participation in emerging carbon markets.
The Meezan Platform enables Omani organizations to align with international GHG accounting best practices and national decarbonization targets, providing a transparent, IPCC-aligned framework for credible emissions reporting and market readiness.
