SGS Academy Turkey has conducted training for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) as part of the Government of Japan funded COVID-19 Resilience and Response Project, which aims to address the human rights and socioeconomic impacts of COVID-19.
Through this project, UNDP Turkey aims to support the Turkish government and private sector in the move to a low carbon inclusive and rights based economy in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while guiding governmental institutions and SMEs in applying a resilience lens to economic recovery policies.
The Training
SGS Academy Turkey provided SMEs and development agencies with training on capacity building in disaster risk management. Highly experienced trainers, using interactive methodologies, delivered the following training courses:
- Lean Production and Management Techniques
- Kaizen
- Industry 4.0
- Risk Management and Process Approach
More than 200 attendees successfully completed the online training in 30 days. The training has given them the competence to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on fragile sectors and ultimately improve crisis management and response among SMEs and development agencies.
