SGS's Lakefield, Ontario facility participated directly in the recent preparation of a guidance document for Toxicity Identification Evaluation (TIE) and Toxicity Treatability Evaluation (TTE) investigations of metal mining effluents on behalf of Environment Canada.

The guidance document is specifically focused on the challenges faced by the Canadian metal mining sector and is designed to assist mine operators in meeting their effluent quality requirements.
