WHAT IS PERFORMANCE TESTING?
Performance Testing is undertaken on different kinds of electrical and electronics products. Performance of these products is defined by the level of quality and efficiency of the product as a whole and of its different component. It is conducted by measuring specific performance parameters related to each type of product.
Examples
- clothes washer – parameters: energy consumption, water consumption, washing action index, water extraction index and rinse effectiveness
- refrigerator – parameters: energy consumption, ability to pass a pull down test, ice making capacity and satisfactory operation over a range of temperatures, etc.
