At SGS, we use our scale and expertise to enable a more sustainable future. We ensure that we minimize our impact on the environment throughout the value chain while positively investing in the communities in which we operate.
We deliver value to society in three ways:
- Our sustainability services enable our customers to adopt and develop more sustainable business practices which, in turn, help them to create products, technologies and services that deliver added value
- Our corporate sustainability programs drive our social, environmental and economic performance locally which, in turn, support our global initiatives aimed at minimizing our impacts and delivering value to society
- Through our engagement activities and our partnerships with external stakeholders, we combine our knowledge and expertise to deliver programs at scale, which contribute to sustainable development
We are committed to helping our stakeholders to understand what sustainability at SGS means within the wider context of our business performance. Over the last two years, we have begun working towards an integrated reporting model. The SGS Annual Report 2016 provides an account of our sustainability commitments, performance and management priorities. This is supported by our online sustainability report, which offers easy access to our employees, customers, investors and other stakeholders to detail on our sustainability management approach and performance.
