SGS Africa has run a leadership development training program, aimed at developing local leaders in the region, since 2007.

Its objectives are to develop local African talent and to improve collaboration between countries and businesses in the region. 

Our Building Collaboration program highlighted the importance of collaboration, networking and relationship building in leadership. It encouraged participants to consider the benefits of gaining insight into the ideas and thoughts of others. Working in groups, employees were tasked with developing and presenting an action plan on a work specific issue or opportunity. They practiced skills such as questioning, listening and giving feedback, and in doing so discovered the importance of consensus building and cooperation with the goal of achieving a common vision.
