The China National Standardization Technical Committees for Apparel has recently revised the national standard GB/T 2660-2008 and it is now GB/T 2660-2017 <Shirts and blouses>, which will be implemented on December 1, 2017.
National standard GB/T 2660-2008<Shirts and blouses> was implemented nearly 10 years ago in China. Since 2008, the raw materials used in the manufacturing of shirts and blouses have changed and the types of products are becoming more and more varied. With the advent of new materials and the use of new technology, some new quality problems in shirts and blouses have emerged.
Since GB/T 2660-2008 does not provide the relevant provisions for these quality problems, it is difficult to judge whether these new materials meet the current required criteria. Under such circumstances, the China National Standardization Technical Committees for Apparels revised GB/T 2660-2008. The updated edition GB/T 2660-2017 < Shirts and blouses > will be implemented on December 1, 2017.
Main Technical Changes

Note: According to GB/T 4841.3, any colour which is deeper than 1/12 dyestuffs dying standard depth colour card can be defined as a dark colour, and any colour which is lighter than 1/12 dyestuffs dying standard depth colour card can be defined as a light colour. | |||||
a Dimensional change after washing or dry cleaning shall be tested based on the instruction of finished product. b For products with weft elastic, do not test the dimensional change of chest girth after washing or dry cleaning. c Do not test colorfastness to washing with soap or soap and soda when it is labeled as non-washable. d Do not test colorfastness to dry cleaning when it is labeled as No dry cleaning. e For color fastness to wet rubbing of pile fabrics, flockied fabrics and dark color fabrics, the requirements for qualified grade and first grade may be a half grade lower than this standard. f For the test results for seam slippage, it will be judged as failed when pull-out, fabric tear or breakage of sewing threads occur. g The requirement for wrinkle grade after washing or dry cleaning allows a half grade lower than this standard when the fiber content is all cotton, all wool, all bast fiber or cotton and bast blended fiber . |
