Revised China Product Standard – GB/T 2660-2017

SafeGuardSAugust 02, 2017

The China National Standardization Technical Committees for Apparel has recently revised the national standard GB/T 2660-2008 and it is now GB/T 2660-2017 <Shirts and blouses>, which will be implemented on December 1, 2017.

National standard GB/T 2660-2008<Shirts and blouses> was implemented nearly 10 years ago in China. Since 2008, the raw materials used in the manufacturing of shirts and blouses have changed and the types of products are becoming more and more varied. With the advent of new materials and the use of new technology, some new quality problems in shirts and blouses have emerged.

Since GB/T 2660-2008 does not provide the relevant provisions for these quality problems, it is difficult to judge whether these new materials meet the current required criteria. Under such circumstances, the China National Standardization Technical Committees for Apparels revised GB/T 2660-2008. The updated edition GB/T 2660-2017 < Shirts and blouses > will be implemented on December 1, 2017.
