The European Standard EN 12520:2010 and EN 12521:2009 have been revised and superseded by EN 12520: 2015 and EN 12521: 2015 respectively.

BS EN 12520:2015 Furniture- Strength, durability and safety – Requirements for domestic seating replaces EN 12520:2010.

Implementation date: June 2016. The main modifications are:

  • References to EN 1728:2000 were updated to EN 1728:2012;
  • Annex A (normative) “Backward fall test” was deleted;
  • The standard was editorially revised.

BS EN 12521 Furniture - , durability and safety – Requirements for domestic tables Replaces EN 12521:2009

Implementation date: June 2016. The main modifications are:

  • References to EN 1730:20OO were updated to EN 1730:2012;
  • References to EN 12150-1:2000 were updated to EN 12150-1:2015.
