Nikki Schopp, Team Leader, Analytical Laboratory Services, at leading pharmaceutical analytical and bioanalytical contract solutions provider, SGS Life Science Services, is to present at the forthcoming Interphex trade show, being held from 18th to 20th March, at the Javits Center, New York City, NY.

Her presentation, “USP 233: Overcoming the First Hurdle - Sample Prep,” takes place on Wednesday March 19th at 1:30 pm on Innovation Stage 3. It will cover the importance of sample preparation, and looking at each sample on a case by case basis, in applying the US Pharmacopeial Convention’s (USP) chapter on limits <232> and procedures for elemental impurities <233>. Ms. Schopp will also review the USP’s current position on Chapter <233>.

Nikki Schopp received her BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry, Marine Science and Psychology, from The University of Miami in Florida in 2005. Ms. Schopp joined SGS in 2005 and has been focused on Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) analysis of Heavy Metals since 2007. In her current role, Ms. Schopp is the Team Leader in charge of ICP-MS, ICP-OES and Advanced Analytical (AA) testing. She is a specialist on elemental impurities method development and validation.
