SGS opens new Vehicle Testing Centre in Morocco
SGS Automotive has opened a new vehicle testing centre; this is the first of forty test centres to be opened by SGS in Morocco. SGS was awarded this contract to develop and operate a network of test centres following an International public tender launched by the Ministry of Equipment and Transport of Morocco back in 2007.
This testing centre is currently opened to the public and has the capacity to test approximately 35 vehicles per day. The office is staffed with a highly knowledgeable team with broad experience in conducting vehicle inspections. A total of 75 items are inspected as part of the test.
The contract was granted to test both light and heavy goods vehicles and it is envisaged that when all the test centres are fully operational that a minimum of 500,000 vehicles will be inspected each year.
