Whole Rock Analysis (Major Elements) XRF76C

Whole rock analysis is the determination of major element oxides of a rock sample. This will total approximately 100% in non-mineralized samples. SGS offers whole rock analysis using either ICP-AES (ICP95A) or X-ray fluorescence (XRF76C). Our experts can help you select the package that is the right fit for your purpose.

Fusion - XRF is the industry-standard sample preparation technique for major element analysis. Fusion involves melting the sample with flux and casting it into a glass disc.
