June 4, 2014

SGS Life Science Services will be present at the A3P International Conference Bioproduction in Lyon 3rd & 4th of June.

  • Dr. Luc Alain Savoy, SGS M-Scan, will give a talk on June 4th at 9h40 on : “Characterisation of Therapeutic Proteins: The importance of the Glycosylation” .

Glycosylation is the most dynamic and widespread form of post-translational modification of proteins. In this presentation, the structural complexity of glycans will first be introduced then illustrated through examples of structure / function relationship. The precise knowledge of therapeutic protein glycosylation is a critical issue for biopharmaceutical industry and cannot be addressed with a single universal approach. The glycan structural complexity and variety can only be tackled through a whole set of qualitative and quantitative analytical methods of which a combination will be presented for the full characterisation of antibody glycan moieties.

Come and Visit SGS team at  booth #41 to discuss further.
