Good news is coming for both commercial and recreational unmanned aerial vehicle
(UAV) users. Transport Canada has recently published proposed new and amended Canadian Aviation Regulations that are easy to follow, flexible and balanced, while still supporting innovation and safe recreational use.

What do the proposed rules cover?

The proposed rules significantly reduce the requirement for Special Flight Operations Certificates (SFOCs). This is significant as it will allow operators who meet and comply with clearly defined rules to operate freely without first obtaining permission from Transport Canada.
