SGS is pleased to announce the acquisition of CIMM Tecnologías y Servicios S.A. (CIMM T&S), with operations in Santiago, Antofagasta, Calama, Copiapó, La Serena and Rancagua, Chile.

CIMM T&S is a leading provider of technical services to the large mining industry in Chile. CIMM T&S focuses on geology and mining, metallurgy, environmental management, analytical services and industrial support.

CIMM T&S has provided the highest level of service to the Chilean mining community since 1996. They perform a comprehensive range of services including resource and geometallurgical services, analytical services, design and commissioning of geochemical and metallurgical facilities, metallurgical testing at the bench and pilot scale, hydrometallurgical services, mineralogy, plant operation and control services, outsourcing, production quality control, environmental monitoring and consultation.

Publicly owned, CIMM T&S employs over 2,000 staff. Revenues for 2011 are projected to exceed US$ 65 million.
