SGS invites you to attend the webinar "RTRS Certification (Round Table on Responsible Soy)" on 02 August 2012. The presenter is Ms. Natalie Evans – SGS Global Program Manager for Alternative Fuels.

The objective of this 45-minute complimentary webinar is to give an initial overview and taster to the  Biofuels production and supply chain (agricultural producers, traders, bioethanol/biodiesel producers, Oil and Gas companies), Food and Pharmaceutical sectors, about the requirements of the  RTRS scheme (Round Table for Responsible Soy).

Background

The Round Table on Responsible Soy Association (RTRS) is a multi-stakeholder initiative which aims to facilitate a global dialogue on soy production that is economically viable, socially equitable and environmentally sound. It provides stakeholders and interested parties – producers, social organizations and business and industry - with the opportunity to jointly develop global solutions leading to responsible soy production. As a result of consensus between producers, industry, trade and finance and civil society actors involved in the soy value chain, the  RTRS standard for responsible soy production was developed.

Soy can be used as a biofuel and sustainably produced Soy oil is also used in everyday food products, soy milk, and animal feed.
