Saudi Arabia - SGS Mandate

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia requires that all consignments of products to be exported to the country should be accompanied by a Certificate of Conformity (CoC). This testifies their compliance with the applicable standards and technical regulations.

At SGS we offer various services to help clients through the process of compliance of the conformity assessment program. Depending on the nature of the product, the verification may involve one or a combination of the following activities:

• Physical inspection prior to shipment
• Sampling, testing and analysis in accredited laboratories
• Audit of product manufacturing processes
• Documentary check and assessment of conformity with the requirements of the applicable technical regulations and standards, for example SASO, GSO, IEC

The Conformity Assessment program is under the authority of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and we are an authorized certification body.
