The Ministry of Foreign Trade (Korea Chamber of Commerce) of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea has appointed SGS to conduct product conformity assessment on all controlled goods entering the country, in accordance with Decree No. 4 of April 12, 2007.
Exporters need to apply for a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) before goods leave the country of export, to facilitate customs clearance on arrival in DPR Korea. The scope of the PCA is to verify quality and quantity, customs classification and country of origin.
Before we can compile a PCA report and issue a CoC exporters need to provide the SGS (GIS) office in the country of supply with the final invoice, bill of lading (or other transport documentation), packing list, certificate of origin and certificate of analysis.
