BS EN 16001 - Advanced Auditor Training - Energy Management Systems

This training course is designed to give you the relevant skills and knowledge to carry out audits of Energy Management Systems (EMS). This five-day training provides an opportunity for both Environmental and Energy management professionals to update their skills in interactive and supportive surroundings.

On training completion you will be able to:

  • Describe the purpose of an Energy Management System (EnMS)
  • Explain the scope of EnMS standards and, where applicable, other criteria against which an audit could be performed (e.g. Carbon Trust Standard, CRC requirements, etc.)
  • Describe the principles, processes and techniques used for the assessment of risk and the significance of these in all EnMS
  • Interpret the requirements of the BS EN 16001:2009 management systems specification in the context of an audit
  • Effectively plan and conduct an audit of the management and operation of an organization in accordance with the requirements of relevant audit criteria
  • Report the audit, including writing valid, factual and value-adding nonconformity reports
  • Undertake audit follow-up activities, including evaluating the effectiveness of corrective and preventive action

The training is endorsed by the UK Energy Institute.
