Policy makers worldwide have set goals and incentives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Consumers are increasingly aware not only of their own carbon footprint, but also that of the products and businesses they use. As a result it is important for your business to develop a carbon reduction strategy to ensure you comply with regulations and demonstrate your green credentials.
SGS Product Carbon Footprint training can be your first introduction to product carbon footprinting and can help your company to identify changes needed to reduce the carbon emissions of your products.
Our PCF awareness training course introduces you to product carbon footprinting. We look at background, drivers and initiatives, such as the Publicly Available Specification (PAS) 2050 standard, which was developed to provide a guideline to calculate emissions over the life cycle of a product.
We also look at the upcoming ISO 14067 standard, which will be used to calculate greenhouse gas emissions released by products, as well as regulation changes and initiatives, such as the future French ecolabel legislation.
Our training offers a practical session where we do a walk-through case study of the process. In doing so we look at how the process can benefit your company and we touch on how to enhance environmental efforts of the company to consumers.
As a long-standing supplier and developer of sustainable solutions our training helps you to implement sustainability throughout your policies, products and supply chain.
