NRTL

To market your product in the USA and Canada it must meet the relevant national safety standards. As a Nationally Recognized Test Laboratory (NRTL) SGS can test and certify your products for the US and Canadian market (NRTL Certification).

As an NRTL officially recognized by the American Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) we evaluate and test your products to determine whether:

  • They comply with the national safety standards
  • The materials, production and conditions of production comply with the Product Safety requirements
  • The manufacturer’s quality system guarantees consistent quality products

SGS North America can certify products to relevant US and Canadian standards through third party testing and certification in our NRTL OSHA accredited facilities. If your product meets the NRTL testing requirements it is permitted to carry the SGS North America Mark as a visible sign of its compliance. It demonstrates your commitment to product safety to manufacturers, suppliers, retailers, regulators and customers.
