What is the WEEE Directive?

Adopted by the European Union (EU) in January 2003 the WEEE Directive 2002/96/EC aims to minimize the environmental impact of the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment by making manufacturers, resellers and importers responsible for its collection, reuse, recycling and recovery.

Our highly experienced technical consultants provide an individual service to adapt and confirm your systems and processes to each country’s regulations. We can assist you to analyze market sales and determine a proper WEEE take-back system. Our WEEE team has built up a comprehensive take-back and e waste recycling network for WEEE in the EU.

Compliance to the WEEE Directive requires you to provide a handbook or data on the reuse and treatment of your electronic products. Our consultancy and compliance service can deliver a bespoke WEEE Report providing you with detail on the recycling potential of your product and on the recycling facilities to remove the material and components listed in Annex II of the WEEE Directive.
