We regularly test for the following quality parameters:
Since amino acids help animals to produce protein more efficiently, we provide the critical analysis that allows you to assess the amino acid levels in your feeding rations.
We can help you monitor the levels of penicillin, virginiamycin and other antibiotics that are used in ethanol production but are restricted in animal feed.
We evaluate the color of DDGS using the industry-recognized Hunter or CIE scales. The color values are affected by the feedstock used, the amount of solubles added, the drying time and drying temperature.
Minerals such as calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, sulfur and zinc are needed in animal diets to maintain feed efficiencies, healthy immune systems and reproduction capabilities.
Mycotoxins may be concentrated in the production of DDGS and, since they are detrimental to animals when present in high levels, we perform the necessary tests. We use validated enzyme linked immunosorbant assay (ELISA) and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) techniques for the quantitative determination of aflatoxin, deoxynivalenol (DON), zearaleone and other mycotoxins.
When using DDGS in feed, a number of important factors – including mixing efficiency, nutrient digestibility, palatability and pellet quality – can be affected by particle size. Our tests ensure that the size is optimized for the best possible performance.
We perform standard wet chemical analyses (e.g. crude protein, fat, fiber, moisture) to allow you to specify the content of the feed rations, since a consistent product maximizes efficiency.
