The source

Traffic, incineration plants, agriculture and industry may emit substances into the atmosphere that can pollute the air. Emissions that take place under controlled circumstances (using filters, scrubbers, chimney stacks or other discharge channels) must satisfy certain limit values and concentration requirements. The sample

Emission measurement is a complex process undertaken  in often difficult environments.  SGS’s teams are well versed in a range of methods and are equipped to provide reliable measurements, safely.   SGS succeeds in conducting air measurements according to the highest quality standards. The resources we use for this include a fleet of mobile laboratories.  Sample teams are also mobile and frequently travel to remote sites to complete monitoring assignments.

The uncontrolled

The degree to which fugitive emissions contribute to the air pollution load of a facility and the loss of product is only being fully understood with the introduction of organised sampling campaigns  using on-site analysers and sampling equipment.  SGS works with our customers to quantify fugitive losses, identify maintenance requirements and track performance.
