CALIBRATION

The methodology developed and used by SGS staff is unique in that it enables an unbiased calibration of the analyser system. This is done by taking measurement error into account.

Unbiased estimates of the analyser measurement precision are obtained statistically. Our approach does not require the assumption of perfect calibration of the analyser during the test period. When a special test is required for formal recalibration or precision testing of the analyser, SGS will:

• Prepare detailed test specifications
• Perform the necessary sampling
• Prepare and analyse the sample in the laboratory
• Perform the statistical analysis of the data
• Provide a comprehensive report with results and workable recommendations
