Repack of dangerous waste & products

The acceptance criteria of dangerous waste's treatment facilities not only restrict the waste composition (such as, limitations on Cl, etc.) but also on the packaging (maximum quantity per unit delivered).

SGS is equipped to repack waste into smaller quantities so that it will be accepted for end treatment. Therefore, SGS EWACS has a full range of packaging, un-certified for road transport in stock. The repacking can be realized on-site or in the SGS Environmental Center.

This know-how and approach can also be applied in case of urgent needs for reconditioning of dangerous products (product transfer from drum, big bag into boxes, cans or vice versa). The SGS intervention team did prove to be of substantial added value in overcoming logistics problems and guaranteeing fast product re-entry in the supply chain.
