REACH, the new EU regulation on Chemicals has entered into force since June 1st 2007. REACH stands for Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals. It aims at protecting Environment and Health of consumers and workers . . .

The importance and impact of REACH must not be underestimated: it is very wide in its scope, covering substance, either manufactured, imported, used as intermediates or placed on the market, on their own or in preparations and even articles. It applies to manufacturers and importers, but also down-stream users and distributors.

What:		A representative in the EU that carries out the required registration for natural or legal persons that manufacture substances, preparations and articles outside the EU.
Who:		A legal entitiy in the EU with background and information on the practical handling of substances.
Tasks:		Fulfilling all obligations of importers for the substances he is responsible for as a registrant ((pre-)registration, communication, notification, classification and labeling).
