Environmental Center

The SGS Environmental Center, strategically located in the Port of Antwerp (Left Bank), has a recognized storage and capacity for dangerous waste of 515 MT (Seveso-company). Various waste fluxes (> 6000 MT/year) are checked, analyzed, accepted and temporarily stored here for final transport to end treatment facilities, selected on the basis of waste composition (MSDS). These fluxes contain such as laboratory waste, acids/bases, TL-lamps, automotive waste (car batteries, break fluid, coolants, engine oils, etc.), expired stocks, off-spec goods, toxic products, gases, etc.

The Environmental Center is the base center for 24/7/365 emergency interventions for incidents involving dangerous goods.
