CEBEC'S LABORATORIES: ALBE

CEBEC has established its own testing laboratories under the ALBE  name. Founded in 1977, ALBE stands for Association des Laboratoires belges d'Electricité - Algemene Laboratoria van België voor Elektrotechniek. These laboratories are equipped with over a thousand measuring tools. Their main objective is consumer protection, based on thorough testing of a wide range of electrical and electronic products.

Located on two sites, Brussels and Liège, the ALBE laboratories have gained international recognition for their high professional standards.

• ALBE Brussels conducts the following tests:

  • Environmental tests
  • RoHS tests
• ALBE Liège is operated in cooperation with the University of Liège (ULg) and focuses on:
  • Short circuit tests
  • Electrical and mechanical endurance tests
  • Ageing tests
  • Operational tests
