Asbestos

In the past, asbestos was widely used for thousands of products: automotive brakes, friction products, textiles, insulation and other building materials. Now considered carcinogenic, the use of asbestos is strongly regulated or altogether banned. SGS analyses the presence of asbestos in suspect building materials, measures the air quality in locations where asbestos-containing materials have been used and inspects sites where asbestos-containing materials are removed, before, during and after demolition.
